The three essential elements of the LA program. Each week LAs meet with the instructional staff for their course (preparation) and in their pedagogy course (pedagogy) to reflect on their experiences with students (practice). LAs use the knowledge they gain in their pedagogy course to inform discussion with faculty during preparation, and in turn, use their experience with faculty to inform discussion with other LAs in their pedagogy class. Finally, the LAs apply what they learn in preparation and in their pedagogy class to their practice with students. Adapted from Otero et al. (2010)
